  • Participants are accompanied by a guide, a Montreux native with a strong connection to Queen's musical world. He is the president of "Montreux Celebration", which organises the "Freddie Celebration Days" festival created by his parents in 2001.
  • Authentic and previously unheard explanations and anecdotes thanks to the testimony of Peter Freestone, Freddie Mercury's personal assistant for 12 years, with whom the guide has been in regular contact for over 20 years.
  • Interactive audio guides in 6 languages: French, English (with Peter Freestone's voice), German, Italian, Spanish and Russian, as well as exclusive photos and videos broadcast throughout the visit to better immerse yourself in the Montreux of the 1980s.

Opinions of the participants



Is there a special rate for children, students, the elderly or wheelchair users?

Freddie Tours has a single rate for all participants. This fee is based on the use of the audioguide. 

There are no age restrictions on the use of audioguides. The decision to equip a child with an audioguide is left to the parents.

Children taking the tour without an audioguide participate free of charge.

Children in pushchairs and infants are also accepted free of charge, as long as they do not disrupt the walking pace of the tour.

What should I take with me on the day of the guided city tour?

Your confirmation code as well as the name and surname of the person who made the booking.

In order to take advantage of the guided city tour in the best conditions, we invite you to come with only what is strictly necessary. No personal object, whatever it is, will be kept during the visit by Freddie Tours or its guide.

Participants are requested to adapt their clothing to the weather conditions on the day of their visit. In case of rain, participants are required to wear suitable clothing (umbrella and/or rain jacket).

We also strongly advise participants to bring a bottle of water to hydrate themselves during the guided city tour.

Is a visit to the "Queen - The Studio Experience" part of the programme?

During the Freddie Tours you will see the historic site of Mountain Studios, you will also receive the full story, many anecdotes and exclusive photos of this mythical place.

Your guide will also show you the entrance to the museum-exhibition "Queen - The Studio Experience" which is located inside the Montreux Casino. However, a guided tour inside is not included in the programme for several reasons:

  • Admission to the "Queen - The Studio Experience" museum is free of charge.
  • The "Queen - The Studio Experience" museum is very well documented and full of information that is accessible to all.
  • The entrance is only a 2 minute walk from the Freddie Mercury statue, where the Freddie Tours end.
  • Everyone can discover and enjoy this place at their own pace before or after the Freddie Tour.

Freddie Tours focuses on presenting exclusive content in order to bring something new and original to the visitor.

Is there anything important to know about the Freddie Tour?

  • Participants are kindly requested to arrive at the meeting point no later than 15 minutes before the indicated time of the beginning of the guided city tour.
  • During the guided city tour, participants are allowed to make amateur films or photographs. It is however strictly forbidden to take pictures, film or record the content of the audio guides.
  • Any reproduction, representation or distribution, in its entirety or in part, of the content of the guided tours, of any of their elements (texts, photos, anecdotes, places visited, etc.) for commercial or promotional purposes, on a website or blog is strictly forbidden.
  • The duration of the guided city tour is only given as an indication. It will depend on the walking rhythm of the group as well as on the questions and interactions of the participants with the guide during the excursion.

Is the Freddie Tour suitable for people in a wheelchair?

The itinerary takes place on the public domain. It is generally adapted and accessible to wheelchairs.

However, the itinerary of the Freddie Tour (Extended) includes a stairs to be crossed, which requires a small detour for wheelchair users.

I have made a booking but I have not received a confirmation email.

The email has probably gone through your SPAM mailbox, please check. If it is not there, please check that the amount of your reservation has been charged to your credit card. If this is the case, you can contact us giving us the details of your booking.

Our confirmation email containing the booking code is your proof of purchase. It will give you access to the Freddie Tour on the date chosen at the time of your booking. We do not send a paper entry ticket.

I have made a booking but would like to change the date of the tour

Contact us immediately. We will do our best to satisfy your request as long as there are places available for the new date.
